Donna was born and breed in South Australia’s Riverland who finished high school in 2001. In 2002 Donna took the year off to work before studying a Bachelor in Agricultural Science Oenology. In this year, Donna worked as a laboratory assistant of Southcorp and finished the year off as a lab assistant for Kingston Estate.
As part of her industry experience, Donna completed a vintage as an assistant winemaker for Kingston Estate in 2006 and continued to work as an assistant winemaker in the white area while completing her last year of the Oenology course.
From 2007 onwards, Donna took on the role of red winemaker and has continuously grown with the role to eventually take on the responsibility of coordinating all the red wines from start to finish. In 2008, Donna enjoyed the experience of being an assistant judge in the Riverland wine show and in 2010 Donna’s contribution towards Kingston 80,000 tonne crush was instrumental to its success.
Donna loves living and working in the Riverland region for the sun, Murray River, sport and wide open spaces. Donna is passionate about Kingston’s iconic variety, Petit Verdot and is responsible for ensuring the wine enjoys the right balance of oak, floral and fruit fragrance in each and every vintage to ensure Kingston Estate’s Petit Verdot continues to set a bench mark for this variety in the Australian wine industry.
