Selecting the Award Winners
The Wine Society Young Winemaker of the Year

The two highest scoring wines from each finalist will be sent to the Final Selection Panel.

The FSP judges the wines according to the Australian Show Judging System.

Each finalists 'wines' scores will be added together to form a total.

The winemaker with the highest total will be named The Wine Society Young Winemaker of the Year.

In the event of a tie the winemaker with the single highest scoring wine will be given named the winner.

Should #5 fail to distinguish a winner the result will be decided by the order in which the vying parties qualified as finalists.

Should #6 fail to distinguish a winner the vying parties shall be named joint winners.
The Wine Society Members Choice Award

The two highest scoring wines from each finalist will be judged by Members of the Wine Society at events around Australia.

All wines are tasted blind.

Members select their three (3) preferred wines.
-
Each preferred wine gets one vote.
-
Votes will be collated by The Wine Society.

The winemaker whose two wines amass the greatest number of votes will be named The Wine Society Members Choice winner.

In the event of a tie the winemaker with the single most popular wine will be declared the winner.

Should #7 fail to distinguish a winner the vying parties shall be named joint winners.
The Wine Society Sommeliers Choice Award

The two highest scoring wines from each finalist will be judged by Sommeliers from around Australia.

All wines are tasted blind.

Sommeliers select their three (3) preferred wines.

Each preferred wine gets one vote.
-
Votes will be collated by The Wine Society.

The winemaker whose two wines amass the greatest number of votes will be named the The Wine Society Sommeliers Choice winner.

In the event of a tie the winemaker with the single most popular wine will be declared the winner.
